This design was the second design to be printed by hand by us at Cryptic. In 2019 this is when Jackson here at Cryptic started to learn the silkscreen printing process. Guided by his graphic design and AP studio art teacher, he was shown the process of coating a screen with photopolymer emulsion, how to burn a design into the screen, and most importantly the printing process. Although this design was done without an actual manual printing press, it was still printed by hand on the garage floor, each shirt one by one. We’re happy to say we’ve upgraded our equipment since and can now print multiple colors. This design is our embodiment of progress and how much we’ve learned since.
